The knee is a complex joint made up of bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage. It may be described as a hinge joint, similar to the hinge on a door. The knee not only bends back and forth but also has a complex rotational component that occurs with flexion and extension.

Our LEGION CR Knee with VERILAST technology was lab-tested to simulate the number of steps the average person takes in 30 years.

One of the most remarkable breakthroughs in design of total knee replacements has been the creation of the JOURNEY II Active Knee Solutions. Designed using the latest in human simulation software, and built using some of the most wear-resistant materials available, this unique implant was designed to address two of the most common concerns associated with knee replacement implants: implant wear and implant feel.

VISIONAIRE Patient Match Technology - a system that uses your own MRI and X-Ray images to design and build surgical instruments customized specifically for your unique knee anatomy. These streamlined instruments potentially offer several patient advantages:

  • Less time in surgery
  • Less invasive procedure
  • A more precisely placed implant

The hip, a ball-and-socket joint, is the largest weight-bearing joint in the body. When the joint is healthy, the head of the femur (thighbone) forms a round ball that fits into the acetabulum, a cavity at the base of the pelvis that forms the socket.

One of the most exciting hip replacement options on the market today is the POLAR3 Total Hip Solution. Although we call it a single solution, it is actually made up of three proprietary technologies that, when combined, can deliver extraordinary results that are designed to improve surgical outcomes and maximize patient satisfaction.

If hip replacement is in your future, you've come to the right place to learn about a truly significant advancement in joint replacement materials, VERILAST Hip Technology. It's important to remember that not every hip replacement is the same. VERILAST Hip Technology is the one technology that directly addresses two of the most commonly cited concerns associated with hip replacement implants:

  • Implant Wear
  • Implant Fracture

The shoulder is a ball-and-socket joint and has the greatest range of motion of any joint in the body. Because of its mobility, it is at risk for injury or degenerative problems. The bones of the shoulder are the humerus (upper arm bone), clavicle (collar bone), and scapula (shoulder blade). The head of the humerus bone (the ball) is lined with cartilage that glides over the shoulder socket (also known as the "glenoid cavity"). The clavicle attaches the shoulder to the rib cage and holds the shoulder out from the body. The scapula is a large triangular bone located on the back side of the upper body, and it is conneted to the clavicle through the acromioclavicular (AC) joint.

REGENETEN is a new technology designed to improve the treatment of rotator cuff disease.

  • The technology can be used in earlier stages of rotator cuff disease to slow progression of your rotator cuff disease. Addressing the injury earlier can shorten recovery time, reduce pain and improve quality of life. Intervening before a full tear has occurred may also decrease your chances of requiring traditional rotator cuff surgery.
  • The technology can also be used in conjunction with traditional repair procedures to improve the tendon biology and decrease the chance of your rotator cuff tendon re-tearing.
